Jungfraujoch - Top of Europe - is the highest trainstation in Europe(3454m). The train goes up 12km through the alpine rock such as Eiger and Moench. The Spinx terrace has a magnificent view of the Aletsch Glacier. The Aletsch Glacier with it's 22 kilometres ist the longest ice stream in the Alps. |
Highlights
On the way to the Jungfraujoch the train stops twice. The first stop is Eigerwand. You can see outside of the Eiger north wall. Next stop is Eismeer. The stop Eismeer is on the other side of the Eiger. You will have a view of a world of Glaciers.
From here you will see Aletsch glacier in the south, Berneroberland in the north, Moench in the east, and Jungfrau in the west.
It is a cave in the ice.
If the weather is good, you can enjoy skiing, husky sledge riding, and walking around . |
